"Spend a week in a country and you'll come back and write a
bestseller. Spend a year and you'll write a magazine article for a well-known
magazine. Spend a lifetime and you
can hardly write a sentence." This is a quote often used among those of us who
have lived overseas for extended periods of time.
I have the urge to throw myself on the floor and pound it
with my fist full of rings. How do I share what I've seen, where I've been, what I
know! I have a responsibly to share and I've not been pulling my weight. Today,
with Kleenex shoved up my nose and a voice that sounds a lot like John Wayne, I
lay on my couch convicted. You all have been such faithful friends and
supporters. You deserve details. But where to start!? I can hardly write a
sentence!

Now that those two paragraphs have taken me half an hour to write,
I'll call it a day. Tomorrow. Tomorrow, maybe I can tell you a little about the
trip to Guatemala. Maybe.
