The stories
need to be told. We’ve been asked to share. Names, faces and locations are to
be protected.

We will call this story Tom, Dick and Harry. Or…Toms hairy “privates”.

Are
you cringing? Uncomfortable? I am.

While on my
last trip to Cambodia, I sat in a office where there were case loads being
passed across a desk, names written on walls and pictures drawn by children as
young as 5 describing the unimaginable.

One of these hand drawn pictures was of – Toms hairy “privates”.
Apparently, this is how Tom is known by the children.

Ready
for another?

This one is about a little girl,
real little. Age and name protected. Lets call her Tiny.
Tiny
has been raped 16 times. Sometimes gang raped. She has bled for days and cannot
sit. She stands in the doorway and smiles at us. However, we do not have a safe
house for her yet. No place for her to go.

And
one more for today.  Although there are hundreds more…

A few
years ago on my first trip to Cambodia, I met a little girl and her 2 brothers.
It started with one being sold, then 2 and soon all 3. Now, the sister herself
is acting out as a result of the abuse she has suffered. Most recently, she has
stuck a stick up her brothers penis.

Please…help.

We
committed to raising $40,000 for a safe house for girls. At this time, we are
only half way there. Every amount helps. You can make a difference. Cringing is not enough.

Pray
for these children, the individual working with them and the predators. Yes,
them too.

 THANK YOU!
…thank you for your prayers for our Freedom Project team! We are all back safe and sound. A handful returned sick, some with strange viruses. Thankfully Don, who is having knee surgery on Monday is healthy (just tired). Jet lag is messing with us. In fact, it’s 3:22 am and I’m wide awake.

So, the time in Cambodia was powerful. I’m so proud of the students. They loved, shared, learned and grew. I enjoyed getting to know Brandon, the high school youth pastor for Fellowship Bible Church along with his leaders. Two churches working as one – loved it. It’s been a year since Don and I were on a “mission trip” together. We miss this…

We love and respect the ministry we partnered with…the HPC staff became family.

I leave Wednesday for India – where we will be roughing it. Physically it is a difficult trip for my hip, back, neck etc… I can not eat majority of the food served there due to my allergies. So, I live off of pop tarts and cold spagetti-o’s! Once home, I’m not scheduled to lead another trip until October.

…thank you for the part you play…the prayers, the encouragement, the support.
