Through your partnership with us…you are investing in people like Teresa and the Swazi team…and they are sharing Gods love with people around the world. Keep the Amabassador teams in your prayers! Below is a recent update from the Swaziland trip report – written by team leader Teresa Hoelsworth.

The day we arrived in Nsubane it was raining. Normally, that would be received as a hassle, but as we arrived in this area, the people greeted us with exceptional joy. The area we were in is the most drought-s
tricken area in Swaziland. The pastor greeted us saying, “With rain, comes blessing.”

The stay in Nsubane provided a unique opportunity to live on a traditional Swazi homestead. The girls slept in a rondoval, a round one room structure with a thatched roof and concrete floor. And the two guys slept in one of the rooms of the houses.

During our five days in this area, we experienced a glimpse of what the early Acts church may have looked like. Our first night on the homestead, we gathered for worship in the rondovul with some people from the homestead. Although we spoke different languages and came from diverse backgrounds, were in one Spirit. As we sat by candlelight and looked across the room, we were unified by nothing else but the Holy Spirit, praising God in our own native language and learning from one another. We gathered for worship every night. Despite fatigue, we were always filled with energy and joy. Every night, our numbers would increase as we continued to gather in the small room. Our last night of fellowship, we had about 45 people packed in a 15-foot diameter room singing loud praises to our God and sharing the word together! It was such an unexpected ministry opportunity that the Lord literally brought to our doorstep!

I pray that this is a reflection of great things to come for this drought-stricken area: as believers come together in One Spirit and go out in faith, God will begin to multiply His Church. That God would continue to pour out His rain upon His people!
