Picking up where I left off after our last posting…

-4:30 p.m. Dr came out…another paper to sign. Laura needs another tube for more meds. Here we go again. Things hadn’t changed for awhile. They have said, things will get worse before getting better. We are praying this is as bad as it gets.

-7:00 p.m. Patti and mom Rock just returned from Laura’s room. She’s very agitated from the last procedure…the inner cranial pressure is elevated. No liver available yet. Still waiting to hear on the blood work.

Side note: Reminiscing here …Laura still holds the record at Lakeland High school for the fastest girl’s mile…at 5:15! Just last month…Don ran a 5K…it took him 24:40.  Laura was one of those gals you look at and think…she’s been blessed with so much. Intelligent, musical, athletic, beautiful, fun….outgoing…and we could go on and on!

-8:58 p.m. Good news…the pressure has gone down to the lowest it’s been all day. We are told brief visits and no stimulation.

-10:41 p.m. Everyone has gone to get a couple of hours of sleep…we are camping out in the ICU. The pressure on her brain has gone down some…as have her liver numbers. This is good news.

Thank you for your prayers and comments…they are an encouragement to all of us…keep them coming!

It’s Sarah Mosher from Jireh Bible Church (New Orleans mission trip summer ’07). Laura and your entire family are in our prayers. I sent a prayer request to our church to pray for Laura also. 12. We hope that all of you can feel the blanket of prayer and concern that is covering your family, apparently from coast to coast and then some. We can only imagine how wrenching these ups and downs must be. We are praying boldly.

  13. Don,

We at Windwood are praying for you. I am so sorry to hear of your sister’s situation. Know that God hold’s you and Laura. For you both, remember Philippian 4:6-7: Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and supplication, make your requests known to God. And the peace of God, which passes all human understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

    We love you. Kathy Lee
