In less than a week we take off for South Africa.  On Monday the 26th we will be headed to Jeffrey’s Bay, South Africa to join the group of Real Life and First Year Mission’s participants.  We will spend sometime with them while they finish out “the Awakening”.  The Awakening has been an intense discipleship and leadership training that the teams in Africa have been participating in since departing Gainesville in September.  After we spend sometime with “the Awakening” and seeing some of our missionary friends that we met in the new staff training this past year we will head out to Swaziland.

This summer the Ambassador program will send out two different teams to Swaziland.  It will be helpful to us to be able to see the ministry and base (where they will be staying) before that trip takes place this next summer.

Connie and I both hope to do a couple of updates (depending on internet access) while we are there.  We will also be sure to send out our next newsletter after we return.  Please keep us in your prayers while we travel.  We will be returning to Georgia on December the 11th.

  2. I’ll be praying for you guys! God definitely wants me here, but it makes me sad that I won’t be in Africa to see you guys!! lol…but I guess I might be seeing you sometime over the Christmas holidays!! God bless 🙂

  3. Just make sure you take a shower before the plane ride – and take it easy on the spicy foods. I’d like to have a pleasant trip if you know what I mean.
