We are the “Spring Class of 2007” – just a bunch of ordinary people who have been
“wrecked” for Christ .
It was an information packed four day weekend. During our time at the New AIM Staff Training…we covered everything and more – from AIM’s history, Statement of Faith, Purpose and Vision, Covenant, Corporate Values, Stewardship/Support Raising and the importance of Listening Prayer.
There were great discussions about the face of missions, our roles in it, teamwork, discipleship and leadership. We participated in worship, community prayer, local mission activities and small groups. Each were assigned a coach and received specific roles and job descriptions. It was exhausting and yet…reenergizing.
We heard stories from those who have come off of FYM (First Year Missionary) their struggles and joys! There were 20 of us total…each so different and still so much in common. In our group there are some going to or just returning from Swaziland, Kenya, Jeffery’s Bay, England, Dominican Republic, New Zealand and Mexico. Then there’s us…who will be based out of Gainesville, GA. God willing we will be able to visit each of these new friends either on an Ambassador trip or through the Shepherd Services. We are anxious to begin!
