There's just something beautiful to listening to
God. It was one of our final days when we sat on the patio above the SAM
mission base in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. I had been trying to get a hold of a few
more of the old friends/contacts from years ago. To my disappointment, I couldn't
locate a couple of phone numbers...leaving us unsure what all the day would hold.

Together, Don, Kristen, and I sat talking to the only One who could possibly
have the answers. We gave Him our concerns and closed in "el nombre de su' hijo"
...knowing He would provide. Minutes later, I had a phone number to get in
touch with old family friends who pastored a church we would like to partner
with and a brand new contact for a ministry in the campo of Bolivia and another
for orphanages! So off we went to the orphanage.

We found ourselves climbing aboard a couple Micros (small, crammed buses) and
taking the trip out to the far circle of Santa Cruz. Once the paved road hit
dirt, we knew this was our spot to yell "Stop!"...and push our way through the
crowd to the door to exit. (Below in green catching the Micro, our new friend and missionary Katie Wells...)

We walked down a short dirt road, followed by a chicken of sorts and were
greeted by adorable girls and their puppy. We found the girls orphanage. At
this time, there are 17 girls there and a few volunteer women who look after
them. They have recently moved locations and here they can build and grow.

We shared stories, pictures, hugs, laughter and a meal. We bought some handmade
jewelry, prayed, and said our tearful good-bye. A beautiful afternoon!

We hope to send a team of girls there at some point with Ambassadors. But, are
YOU interested? If you are woman who wants to live with, love on, and care for
some orphan girls for a week, please contact me. Who knows...maybe we can get a
team together.

For those who have read my previous blog on adoption... this time 10 years ago, I was laying in a hospital in Delaware recovering from "the surgery".  A well-intentioned nurse came in with a rose and wished me a Happy Mother's Day. It took the rose. Every year since I've thought about that day... and still no regrets. Some would be upset about the rose on that day, or even why I scheduled my surgery around that time. There was no thought put into the date...and no anger or sadness with the rose. I'm blessed. Look at all the things I can do!

Thank you God for my mother, mother-in-law...and all the other women who have cared and loved on me. Thank you God for making me a mother to none and yet a mother to many. I look forward to what you have in store!  En el
nombre de Su' Hijo, Amen!

I'm so grateful we took advantage of the two way conversations we can have with
God.

I'm so glad we listened.

I'm so glad HE guides us, provides for us.
